Attained her PhD degree in Psychology from Strathclyde University, UK in 2008 with the Strathclyde University Award. She completed her Postgraduation in Psychology with Experimental Psychology as her special paper from University of Calcutta and Ranked 3rd in the University. She currently works as a Guest lecturer in Psychology in the Post graduate certificate course on Performing Art Therapy in Rabindra Bharati University. She practices as a music therapist and works with children with special needs as a rehabilitation psychologist in Pradip Centre for Autism Management by applying the techniques learnt from UK in the course of her PhD programme. She obtained the National Scholarship, Govt. of India - Ministry of Human Resource and Development and the Award for Highest mark in Psychology in the Board for the year 1995.
She instructs students of WBSU on Cognitive Processes, Developmental Psychology, Research Methodology and Counseling Psychology. |
