She was awarded her Doctoral in July, 2009 for her thesis on Neuropsychology (Psychology) for pursuing a study entitled “Cognitive functions in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Paranoid Schizophrenia and Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease: A Neuropsychological Approach” from the University of Calcutta.

She had been occupied as:
Psychologist in the “Institute of Stress Management: A Center for Evaluation and Management of Stress” at Shibalaya, 140, Lake Town, Block A, Kolkata from March 2000 to June 2001.

Field Investigator (Psychologist) in “Institute of Stress Management: A Center for Evaluation and Management of Stress, Kolkata” in the research project entitled “Stress in the Young and Middle Aged: Identification and Stress reduction Training” sponsored by the Dept of Science and Technology and NES, Govt. of West Bengal from 2000 to 2001.

Psychologist in CUIIPP, Service Center, Department of Psychology, Calcutta University from 2001 to 2003.

Undertook neuropsychological assessment of patients suffering from Obsessive-compulsive disorder and Paranoid schizophrenia in the Out Patient Department, Psychiatry Unit in R.G.Kar Medical College & Hospital, Calcutta from 2000-2002.

Undertook neuropsychological assessment of Parkinson’s disease patients in the Movement Disorders Clinic at Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata from 2002 to 2005.

Undertook neuropsychological assessment of different types of dementia patients in the Cognitive Clinic at Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata from 2002 to 2004.

Research Co-ordinator in an intervention study entitled “An Open Lable, Multicentric Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Entacapone as an add on Therapy in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease” from January, 2005 to April, 2005 under the supervision of Dr. Shyamal Kumar Das, Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata.

Senior Research Fellow in a 4 year community-based project from 2006-2010 in the city of Kolkata entitled “A prospective longitudinal study of Stroke in the city of Kolkata” sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Shyamal Kumar Das, Head, Department of Neurology,  Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata. . 

She is presently occupied as:
Guest Lecturer of Neuropsychology at the Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta to take classes on ‘Dementia’ and ‘Neuropsychological Testing’ for the M.Phil course from January, 2009.

Consultant Neuropsychologist, maintaining a personal clinic at Smilz, 21, Garia Park, Near Garia Buddha Mandir, Kolkata: 700084 and at Fortis Hospitals, Anandapur, EM Bypass, Kolkata.
