Obtained MA in Economics from the University of Burdwan in 1986 and awarded Ph.D degree from Vidyasagar University in 2003. He has 20- year teaching experiences and 16- year research experiences. He has published a lot of papers in the international as well as national referred journals and conference proceedings. He received teacher fellowship from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for two years’ (1999-2001).
Area of teaching: Quantitative Economics, Statistics and Resource Economics.
Area of research: Agricultural markets, Forestry, household’s behavior and climate change, livelihood and climate change, agriculture and climate change, gender and climate change
