ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Department of Microbiology at West Bengal State University is a nascent and vibrant department. There are thirty post graduate students who are actively involved in a number of research based projects. The department is very active and will vigorously expand academically in next few years and it will be engaged in active research in the areas of microbial pathogenecity, microbial biochemistry, microbial genetics, molecular biology, environmental microbiology as well as in Cancer biology. The department currently has four highly enthusiastic and dynamic faculties.
