Prof. Pritha Mukhopadhyay

Professor and Head, Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta. Recipient of National scholarship (National Scholarship scheme of Government of India) for H.S. and B.A. examination, J. William Fulbright Scholarship (U. S. A) (1994) and Gold - Medal of the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research for best seminar talk. She is the Chairperson, Undergraduate Board of Studies, University of Calcutta, (since 2008) and Coordinator of M. Phil in Clinical psychology course introduced in Calcutta University (since 2006). She has authored over forty journal articles and six book chapters. She supervised doctoral theses on Psychological Characteristics of Women with Menopausal Syndrome, Self- Perception of Parents and Child's  Perception of Parents in Conduct Disorder Children, Determination Of Neuroantomical Substrates in Patients With Focal Brain Lesions by Neuropsychological and Neuroimaging Techniques and Cognitive Function In Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Paranoid Schizophrenia and Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease. She currently supervises six scholars on their doctoral thesis from varied fields like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorder, Wilson’s Disorder and Marital Relationships.

She instructs students of WBSU on Physiological Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology.
