She obtained her degree of M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calcutta. She practices as a Clinical Psychologist in the Calcutta Institute of Maxillofacial Surgery and Apollo Gleaneagles Hospital. She is associated with Post-graduate teaching at the Dept of Physical Education (Jadavpur University). She was formerly attached to the Calcutta University Industry Institute Partnership Programme (C.U.I.I.P.P) as a clinical psychologist, in Calcutta. Before that she worked as a Clinical psychologist at Dr. Matcheswalla’s Counselling Centre, Mumbai and as a visiting Clinical Psychologist at Masina Hospital, Mumbai. She has special interest in working with children with Learning Disabilities, which she gained from her experience of working as a Part time Clinical Psychologist for assessment of learning disability at Mrs. Shaila Vora’s Clinic at Mumbai.

She teaches in courses related to Research methodology, Counseling Psychology and Personality Assessment at WBSU.
