Research Interest :
I have been working in the field of Cancer Chemoprevention. In future, primarily want to pursue research in the area of chemoprevention and toxicology. Interested in:
-
Identifying the therapeutic potential of various dietary agents/herbs along with elucidation of the possible biochemical and molecular pathways of action of the agents against toxicity induced by various toxic agents including carcinogens.
-
Investigating the ecotoxicological impacts of pecticides, heavy metals and other environmental toxicants on the aquatic ecosystem.
Academic Qualification :
-
Ph.D.- Department of Cancer Chemoprevention Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata (Degree obtained from Jadavpur University), 2007
-
M.Sc. (Zoology) - University of Calcutta, 2002. [Rank Holder in PG exam-2002]
-
B.Sc. (Zoology) - University of Calcutta, 2000
Performance in competitive exam
-
Qualified CSIR-UGC NET, GATE (92.44 percentile) and SLET
Fellowships-
- National Scholarship Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 2000
- Junior Research Fellowship, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute Kolkata, India.
- Junior Research Fellowship, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India
