Dr, Tanusree Chakraborty

She has received her Doctorate in Applied Psychology (Calcutta University) on ‘A Probe into the Nature of Risk Behavior, Psychological Stress of Adolescents and Its Impact on Mental Health’ with Specialization in Organizational Psychology, appeared for Final Semester of MBA (HR); also an ex- research fellow at Indian Council of Medical Research.

She is the recipient of National Merit Scholarship under MHRD (Govt. of India) for B.A. (Hons) examination 2000.

She has worked with the Department of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta on a Multicentric National Level Task Force Project entitled: ‘A Study on Reproductive and Sexual Health Education for Adolescents’ sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi as Social Scientist on a 3 years project. She had also been attached to RCG Management Consulting (Kolkata) as a Consultant and has successfully completed a number of projects with reputed organizations.

Her area of specialization happens to be Organizational and Environmental Psychology. She has conducted a number of research assignments in organizational behavior and psychology. She has hands on experience in counseling and guidance too. As a Trainer, Dr. Chakraborty has facilitated many a learning session for organizations both public as well as private from varied sectors. Some of these programs have been on subjects like Team Building, Stress Management, Time Management, Communication and Interpersonal Effectiveness, Managerial Effectiveness, Planning Life & Career and Managing Self. She has a number of publications in leading journals.

She has taught at the Asutosh College, Kolkata as a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, from September, 2005 to May, 2009; and as Asutosh College Training Centre faculty in the WBCS, Psychology Department. February 2006-June 2006. She had also been occupied as HR Executive/ HR Consultant with RCG Management Consulting and has conducted training and Management Development Programme with Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, NHPC, SBI etc

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

2000 Perceived Quality Of Life and Consumer Behavior of a Group of Bank Managers
2004 A survey work with the Steel Authority of India Limited (Growth Division) on the organizational dynamics of its various departments like Project and Engineering, Finance and Accounts, MIS, Personnel and Administration. The project included the assessment of individual and group competence in the areas of team Work, leadership, empowerment, customer orientation.
The exercise also involved designing a developmental path for the areas of concern in the above areas, followed by developing an effective HRD tool, which could be objectively fed into the computer with the purpose of developing an HRD Software for the Company.(Under RCG Management Consulting)
2004-2005 Conducted organizational climate and employee satisfaction poll at Secure Meters Limited; Gurgaon, Solan (Himachal Pradesh), and Kolkata. Interviewed more than 400 people in the various units of the company and administered the entire survey. Analyzed the data and prepared the complete report of the project in verbal and graphical form. (Under RCG Management Consulting)
